There are a number of ways that you can experience your first flight with the Welland Gliding Club. All of which are detailed below.

Introduction To Gliding. Approximately 15 minutes of flying instruction, launched either by a 2000 ft aerotow or up to two winch launches. Includes 3 months club membership. (Launch method will be decided by the Duty Instructor). Cost £75.00

High Flyer. Approximately 20+ minutes of flying instruction, launched either by a 3000 ft aerotow or up to three winch launches. Includes 3 months club membership. (Launch method will be decided by the Duty Instructor). Cost £95.00

One Day Flying Course. Pre-flight briefing and instructional flights of either three 2000' aerotows or equivalent winch launches, a personal log book and gliding information. Completion of the course cannot be guaranteed on any one day. Booking lead time of 2 - 3 weeks. Includes 3 months club membership. Cost £195.00

Group Flying Evenings. If there is a group of 10 or more that would like to make a social event of a trial lesson then a group flying evening is the best option. Normally these are done on a friday evening between May and mid September. A winch launch costs £30.00 with a typical flying time of 5 - 10 minutes.
